Team Yamaha
of Troy rider Ivan Tedesco returned to action in Houston, Texas and served
notice that he’s a podium contender when his injuries are healed. Ivan began his return to racing by setting
the fastest 125cc practice lap time on Saturday, which propelled him into the
evening program. “I felt
really good all day”. After a heat race
in which Ivan finished second ahead of his teammate Brock Sellards and behind
Pro Circuit’s Mike Brown Ivan was looking forwards to the main event. Unfortunately
in the main event as Ivan exited the first turn his was in 15th or 16th place.
After a spirited 2 lap charge he was in 5th place and then the remainder of the
race worked up to second place! He said
that he “felt pretty good, but got tired after about the 12th lap. I’m really
excited and glad to be back”. Ivan stated, “I would like to thank everybody for their prayers over the last month as things like that don’t go unnoticed. Most of all I would really like to give a special and well deserved thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ who I always put my health and career in his hands and as always with him things work out for the best!” “I will be
looking for a win next week.
