The weekend
off before Unadilla my girlfriend and I were at Brock Sellards house in Ohio.
It rained a lot so Brock, Pingree and I hung out around the house and rode when
we could. We didn't do anything really exciting. I am really looking forward to
doing Surfercross in San Diego the weekend off after the Washougal National.
Unadilla was OK, but a little disappointing. As soon as I got to Utica, NY
(where we stay), I was already hating New York. I like the race, but Utica is
where my girlfriend and I were stuck for 1 1/2 weeks when I punctured my lung
last year. Needless to say I am not too fond of the state. The first moto, I
got a really good start, but there were some major suspension setting problems
with my bike. I went from a third place start to sixteenth really fast. I was
afraid I would have a bad crash and end up puncturing my lung again. I
figured it was better to be safe then sorry. Second moto, I got a bad start but
steadily moved through the pack to sixth. The track was extremely fast and
really ruff. I am so grateful God blessed me with a safe trip this time and
pray for better results next weekend.
God bless.
