Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Led This Past Weekend By Ivan Tedesco; Teammate Langston Injur

Carpenter & Walker score top 15 finishes; Roncada shines in his qualifer

CARLSBAD, Calif., (June 1, 2005) – Team Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Ivan Tedesco – the two time defending THQ/AMA Supercross Series 125 West champion – was his team’s top finisher at the Monster Energy/Kawasaki Motocross National at High Point Raceway on Sunday, Round Two of the 2005 AMA Motocross Championship presented by FMF.

Other Monster Energy racers scoring top 15 finishes included Paul Carpenter (12-14, 13th o/a) and Matt Walker (13-16, 15th o/a).

“I thought things went pretty well today,” said Tedesco. “I got a good start in the first moto, but made a couple mistakes and wound up 8th. Second moto I didn’t get as great a start (12th), but was able to charge back up into the top ten and hold on for another 8th. I’m definitely looking forward to Southwick next week (June 11-12). The Nationals’ lone sand race and it’s always a blast.”

On a tough note, multi-time Supercross/Motocross champion Grant Langston - the 125 class winner at the Hangtown opener - was unable to compete at High Point due to an injured ankle.

And the team’s fifth racer, Stephane Roncada continues his heroic comeback, proving he’s got the speed to run with the leaders even if it’s just for a portion of the race. Roncada finished second in his Group 1 qualifier to make the main event. A good sign that he’s continuing to improve and get his endurance back.

Team Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki returns to action June 11-12 Motocross 338 MX National at Southwick, Round Three of the 2005 AMA Motocross Championship.

Also keep in mind that Monster Energy and Kawasaki will sponsor the Triple Crown of Motocross - a $25,000 bonus to any racer who can sweep the High PointRedBud and Steel City rounds of the 2005 AMA Motocross Championship.  In addition to the sizable bonus opportunity, Monster Energy - in cooperation with Kawasaki and Pro Circuit - will award the top privateer placer in both 125 and 250 classes a factory Monster Energy/Kawasaki/Pro Circuit KLX 110 (valued at $3,000) while also awarding an additional $500 in cash to the top privateer at each race (both classes). Also, at the Steel City round, Monster Energy will award an additional KLX 110 and another $500 in cash to the top overall privateer finisher in each class. That's eight custom Monster Energy/Kawasaki/Pro Circuit mini bikes and $4,000 in cash!
