Former AMA Lites class champion 10th overall at third Anaheim SX
– a stadium he won at three consecutive times back in 2004 CARLSBAD,
Calif., (Feb. 6, 2007) – Longtime Monster Energy-backed
motocross racer Ivan Tedesco (Makita/Suzuki) continues his comeback from a
broken hand suffered during practice at December’s Toronto Supercross GP, this
past weekend placing a hard-fought 10th overall at the third of
three Anaheim (Calif.) AMA Supercross class rounds. Tedesco, who cranked in his heat race,
making the podium with a 2nd place finish to Chad Reed, pulled a
solid start in the main (5th) and looked to be in the hunt for a
possible podium finish. “Things felt great in my heat race but I
just wasn’t able to carry that momentum through out the entire 20-lap main,”
said Tedesco. “I feel I’m making progress, getting my speed back, but I still
have a ways to go.” As it stands Tedesco is in 10th
place overall after completing five of the 16 rounds. Next up for Tedesco is
the Houston Supercross (Reliant Stadium), where last year he placed 6th
in the main event. Monster Energy supports the sport. Be it
