Former AMA Lites class champion still solidly in the
top ten overall points CARLSBAD,
Calif., (Feb. 12, 2007) – Monster Energy’s Ivan Tedesco
continued his successful 2007 Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series comeback from
a pre-season broken hand, this past weekend racing to an 8th place
overall finish in the AMA Supercross class main event – his best finish since
Anaheim 3. Tedesco transferred to the main with a
solid 4th place finish in heat No. 2. In the main he pulled a good
start on his Makita/Suzuki RMZ450, ripping into 6th place after the
first lap then getting by Michael Byrne for 5th soon there
after. Tedesco seemed to have settled into 5th, holding that
position through lap 12, when a mistake in the whoops cost him about five
positions. The former champion would battle back and
hold onto 8th overall and the 13 points that go with it. As it stands Tedesco is in 9th
place overall after completing six of the 16 rounds. Next up for Tedesco is the
San Diego (Qualcomm Stadium), where last year he placed 6th in the
main event. Monster Energy supports the sport. Be it
motocross, surf, skate, snow, BMX – name it – the athletes are rockin’ Monster
